Great news again for the iPhone today, only this time its coming from Sony‘s direction, as the news reaches us way down here in the depths of the GamesMediaPro dungeon that Little Big Planet 2 has been confirmed for release for the iPhone.
During an interview at the recent E3 2010 expo, UK games magazine Now Gamer managed to grab an interview with Media Molecule’s Alex Evans and they got around to dicussing the online connectivity for Little Big Planet and the new LBP.me website where gamers can interact with each other as they share levels, discuss design options within the game and even advertise their creations. However when Evans was questioned about the chance that there will be future mobile connectivity for the innovative title, and the possibility of there being the existence of an iPhone application? Evans had this to say on the matter:
Make of that what you will? But we are assuming that from such a positive response to the UK reporters question, that there will indeed be an iPhone version of the Little Big Planet 2 available for you all to download from the Appstore before too much longer? Indeed as the Now Gamer article continued to point out, Little Big Planet 2 already boasts a whole array of online activities from Facebook to Twitter and a plethora of LBP.me features, so the inclusion of an iPhone app would only serve to create greater accessiblity and connectivity to the Sony smash hit title.
