The Vanquish story takes place in a vast space sation in a near future world where rival nation’s are at war for control of the planets remaining energy sources. Against this backdrop, players will take to the role of one Sam Gideon, a government agent kitted out with the cutting edge of futuristic technology battle suits. Sam, as you will discover, is a more than capable and very versatile kind of combatant with a huge arsenal of high-tec weaponary at his disposal, Sam is also a hand-to-hand martial arts expert and is quick also to demonstrate his close quarter combat abilities against his lethal robotic enemies.
Vanquish is being had as ‘Fast,Fluid and Frenetic’ in what seems to be a genre breaking title. Armed to the teeth with the latest weapons and given almost superhuman fighting capabilities in his battle suit, Sam Gideon will take the fight to the very heart of his enemies in a game that features explosive gameplay at its most exciting levels. The Platinum Games sci-fi epic is scheduled to reach gamers in October, 2010 with a PEGI rating of 15 for BBFC, 18 for UKS.
