New Judas Priest DLC added for Rock Band

To celebrate the 30 year Anniversary of Judas Priest’s best selling British Steel album its has been announced that nine new live tracks are to able for download from your appropriate network store,( ie. PSN Store and Xbox Live Marketplace ).  All nine songs are from the British Steel album and  even though the band are from Britain, the album is entitled British Steel it seems that this is lost on the gaming industry as we in the UK will still have to wait an extra 24 hours to get our hands on the songs as they are not due for release in the UK and Europe until May 12th, 2010 whereas they are released on May 11th, 2010 in the uS? Oh well, it’s probably just about timezones? Yeah, that will be it. Nothing to see here folks…move along, move along.

The full list of songs are as follows:

  • “Breaking the Law (Live)”
  • “Rapid Fire (Live)”
  • “Metal Gods (Live)”
  • “Grinder (Live)”
  • “United (Live)”
  • “Living After Midnight (Live)”
  • “You Don’t Have to Be Old to Be Wise (Live)”
  • “The Rage (Live)”
  • “Steeler (Live)”

Of the above tracks, only “Living After Midnight” and “You Don’t Have to Be Old to Be Wise” are unavailable for download in Lego Rock Band. So thats a little unfortunate if you like rocking out to Rob Halford in plastic. The real shame I suppose for the true Judas Priest fans out there is that tracks like The Ripper, Green Manalishi and Exciter are still unavailable. But as we stated earlier this is the band’s British Steel download, not the Unleashed in the East DLC.  ( which we agree is probably the far better album )

 Each track can be purchased for US $1.99 / GB£ .99 / € 1.49 / 160 MS Points / 200 Wii Points.

PS3 and Xbox 360 owners can also download all nine via the “British Steel 30th Anniversary” track pack for US$ 14.99 / GB£ 7.49 / € 10.99 EU / 1200 MS Points.
