Frima Studio, Canada’s leading independent game developer, announced today that two of their titles have been chosen as finalists for prestigious awards in Canadian gaming.
A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks! is a finalist for both ‘Best Game on the Go’ and ‘Best Downloadable Game’ for the Canadian Videogame Awards. Released for PS3 and PSP in December 2010, A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks!, an original Frima property, has achieved wide acclaim as an addictive and affordable shooter. It was also nominated for ‘Game of the Year,’ ‘Best Console Game’ and ‘Best Audio.’ A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks! is available for download on the PlayStation Network now.
Pocket God garnered a berth as finalist for ‘Best Social/Casual Game’ for the Canadian Video Game Awards, as well as nominations for ‘Best Game Design,’ ‘Best Visual Arts’ and the ‘Innovation Award.’ The Facebook game also received a nomination in the ‘Games and Animation’ category of the OCTAS.
