GamersGate Partners With Rixty to Enable Cash-Based Payments

GamersGate, a premier digital distribution service for PC & Mac games, today announced a partnership with Rixty, the largest cash-based payment system for online entertainment in the United States. This partnership adds Rixty’s flexible cash payment options to the GamersGate website, enabling more consumers access to GamersGate’s catalog of games, including the newest titles and thousands of classics. Rixty handles cash-based payments for users without credit cards, providing GamersGate customers with enhanced freedom of choice when it comes to online entertainment.

”Over 20% of US consumers don’t use credit cards,” said Theodore Bergquist, CEO at Gamersgate, ”Rixty lets us provide our digital distribution service to a new market who previously had no way to pay for our games.”

Ted Sorom, CEO of Rixty, said: “We are pleased to partner with GamersGate to enable the use of Rixty for PC and Mac game downloads. GamersGate is a great addition to our platform, expanding Rixty’s reach beyond MMOs and online game play with core PC and Mac downloadable games from the world’s top publishers.”

GamersGate has continually added new, trusted payment solutions and is excited to offer its US customers the opportunity to pay by cash via Rixty. The launch of the partnership coincides with Rixty’s March Madness promotion, currently running through April 17th, during which players can earn a $5 bonus on a qualifying Rixty transaction.
