Rockstar Games masterclass in open world RPG gaming, Red Dead Redemption, has swept all competition aside as it is rightfully crowned ‘Game of the Year’ at the annual VGA’s.
In 2010 the competition for Game of the Year has been stronger than ever, with every nomination being a Triple’A’ title. Rockstar Games supreme Old West RPG action shooter has brushed off all comers and claimed the throne for the developers as it beats off strong challenges from such noted franchises as Call of Duty and even the old warhorse itself, Halo.
A well deserved crown sits on the head of John Marston today. Another badge is proudly displayed upon his chest and trophy adorned on his mantelpiece as his stunning appearance in Rockstar Games seminal Red Dead Redemption beats off the challenges from the likes of Black Op’s, Halo: Reach, Mass Effect 2 and Sony’s flagship hack’n’slash masterpiece God of War III to hold onto the coveted ‘Game of the year’ award at this years Video Game Award ceremony that took place at the weekend.
In what has to be one of the most difficult year’s for the judges and voters to decide on a winner, due to the fact that 2010 has been a year when the developers have spoiled the gaming public like never before, Red Dead Redemption has emerged victorious above the head and shoulders of its distinguished rivals as it is rightfully hailed as the best game of 2010.
