Today, IGN UK, the UK’s largest video games and entertainment network, began the hunt for the brightest personalities in UK gaming and film. The award winning media outlet is searching for both presenters and writers from the vast untapped talent of these happy isles.
Winners will be chosen by IGN UK and a panel of leading experts from the world of games and film, and will contribute to IGN UK’s editorial output in 2011.
“At IGN UK our mission is to develop award winning talent and content,” says Alex Simmons, UK Editor In Chief. “Every day our readers contact us, asking how they can break into the industry to embark on a career in journalism. With Game Changer we want to give all aspiring writers and presenters that chance, whilst unearthing the new wave of creative talent for the industry.”
Want to get involved?
Video Presenters: Simply, record yourself talking about your favourite game or movie for 30 seconds. Don’t worry about quality of video, camera angles or lighting techniques, IGN are interested in your personality not your camera skills. To submit your video, upload it to YouTube and share it with IGNGameChanger via the upload tools in your YouTube account. Approved videos will be displayed on www.youtube.com/igngamechanger
Writers: Write 250 words on your favourite movie or game (you can submit a review/feature/opinion piece – anything you want) and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
